This Privacy Policy outlines the privacy practices of ChronHarvester, a time tracking app designed to help users manage their tasks efficiently. Our app prioritizes user privacy and data protection, adapting to the latest features to enhance user experience while ensuring data security.
Data Collection and Use
ChronHarvester does not collect any personal data from its users. The app operates entirely offline using a local database (Core Data) for storing time tracking information. Data collection is limited to what is necessary for the functionality of the app without compromising user privacy.
Notion Integration
Users have the option to integrate with Notion databases. This feature allows users to receive data from their chosen Notion databases. ChronHarvester only receives data from Notion and does not send any data back to Notion, maintaining a one-way data flow to protect user data integrity.
iCloud Integration
With the introduction of iCloud support, ChronHarvester offers users the option to sync their time tracking information across devices. This feature is entirely optional and can be enabled or disabled within the app settings.
- Data Syncing: When iCloud syncing is enabled, ChronHarvester will store and sync time tracking data across the user’s Apple devices. This ensures that users can access their data seamlessly on any device.
- Data Security: Data synced with iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest, utilizing Apple's iCloud security protocols. We do not have access to the encryption keys and cannot access your data on iCloud.
- User Control: Users can manage iCloud syncing through their device settings, including the option to disable syncing or delete data from iCloud.
Local Data Storage and Security
The app uses Core Data for local storage of time tracking information on the user's device. While no encryption is used for local storage, the introduction of iCloud support ensures encrypted data syncing and storage. Removing the app from the device, or disabling iCloud syncing, will result in the deletion of all locally and cloud-stored data, respectively.
Subscription Model with Adapty
ChronHarvester offers a subscription model managed through Adapty. This integration allows users to subscribe to premium features of the app.
- Data Collection: Adapty collects non-personal data related to subscription purchases. This data includes transaction IDs, subscription status, and other metadata necessary for managing subscriptions. No sensitive personal data is collected.
- Data Use: The data collected by Adapty is used solely for the purpose of managing subscriptions, processing payments, and ensuring users have access to premium features.
- Data Security: Adapty adheres to strict security protocols to ensure the protection of transaction data. All payment information is processed through secure channels, and no payment data is stored within ChronHarvester.
- User Control: Users can manage their subscriptions directly within the app or through their Apple account settings. This includes the ability to cancel subscriptions or view subscription details.
User Rights
All data is managed locally on the user's device, with the option for encrypted iCloud syncing. Users have full control over their data and can manage their iCloud preferences to further control their data's storage and syncing. Subscription management through Adapty provides users with clear options to control their subscription status.
